During the 3 short months from when we signed for the property to when we had our Grand Opening, the rescue was a hive of industrious work and creative thinking, as a dormant, zombie property was flipped into thriving, breathing, life-saving rescue.  

 

Alterations were made to the building to meet codes and the property was landscaped as it had become an overgrown wasteland. Most of the work done during this time (all legal issues, renovating, painting inside and out, landscaping, etc…) was done PRO BONO, so costs were minimal.  In addition, a wonderful new training facility in the rescue was constructed and paid for by the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.
